Assets
Flexible, high volume asset control
The larger and more complex your organizational structure becomes, the harder it can be to maintain an accurate picture of your assets – especially in today’s operating environments, where mergers and acquisitions or reorganizations are a constant factor. With Assets, you can keep track effectively and easily share the information whenever and wherever it is needed.
Part of the CODA 2count range, Assets is fully integrated with our accounting and procurement products. It makes it easy to track and manage high volumes of assets across multiple companies, currencies and “books”. This clearer picture helps you get the most value from existing resources and improves control and planning for their replacement.Developed in collaboration with our customers, Assets is a flexible web-browser architected solution that means you can provide anyone in your organization with secure, online access to accurate and up-to-date information.
With the enhanced user interface, users can easily browse asset additions, transfers and disposals or utilize CODA’s unique plug-in system to provide comprehensive depreciation rules wherever they are in the world.
Assets allows for:
- Disposals: full or partial. Sale proceeds and expenses can be added and the financial gain or loss on the transaction automatically posted.
- Transfers: between cost centres and transfer between assets are the supported methods. The ease of moving assets between cost centres is enhanced by the new multiple elements in cost centre transfers feature. The appropriate financial values will be transferred automatically as part of the transfer.
- Revaluation: allows the user to account for appreciating assets and post the financial transactions to separate revaluation accounts. The assets may be revalued by value, percentage or by using a customisable rule.
- Forecasting: depreciation charges for future years may be forecast. The asset and year/period range to run the forecast for is user-definable. The results may be exported to a spreadsheet or to CODA balance codes for further analysis or reporting.
